What’s in my Holiday Make Up Bag?

Just in case you missed me going on about it on all forms of social media, I’m on holiday at the moment!

I’m in the Canary Islands soaking up a bit of Winter Sun. I worked out I haven’t been on a sunshine break for over 3 years! I’m much more of an adventure holiday type girl, but I’m going to do my absolute best to relax, chill out and not care about absolutely anything!

Before I left I carefully planned what make up to take with me and I thought it might be a useful blog post for anyone who has a holiday coming up for me to share my holiday make up essentials!

Make Up Bag:

This beautiful bag is by one of my favourite print & design companies Zana. They’re based in South Africa and just make the COOLEST prints, homewares and accessories around. I adore them. They very kindly sent me this bag and it is just perfect for fitting in all of my make up. I mean, it has freaking pineapples on it!

Face:

I’m not planning on wearing a huge amount of foundation, however I’m taking my trusty Rimmel True Match Perfection with me to wear in the evenings. I adore this foundation and really can’t rave about it enough!

In terms of Blush I’m taking my Sleek Palatte that has 3 really pretty blush tones including 2 matt shades and 1 shimmery shade for when I want that evening glow. I’m also taking my new Hot Mama Blush by The Balm. This is a new purchase for me but I’m so excited to try it, the colour is just so so pretty.

I’m also taking my Bahama Mama Bronzer by the Balm to bronze myself up and hopefully (fingers crossed!) enhance any sort of tan I pick up. I just started using this Bronzer and it’s a gorgeous matt shade that I’m just loving so! The packaging is just too cute as well (come visit me on Instagram to see them up close).

I’m also throwing in my Collection Mosaic Bronzer which has a bit more shimmer in it just as an extra.

I couldn’t go on holiday without my Collection Highlighter Stick. I love this stuff, it’s so wearable, blendable and such an adaptable colour as well. Plus being on holiday means that glowy, shimmery look normally saved for the summertime is completely acceptable, and I’m ALL over that!

Eyes:

For eyes I’m taking my Revolution Palatte as I just adore it and it has SO many shades to choose from. It had some beautiful Matt shades but also some just gorgeous shimmer tones for a more glam look in the evenings.

For liquid liner I’m taking my Collection 2000 Black Liner and also my Liquid Feutre by Boujois. Options options.

I’m taking my FAVOURITE mascara, the Maybelline Dramatically Different Mascara in Black. I’m also throwing the waterproof version in just for good measure, but I’m not a massive fan of the formula. It doesn’t match up to the original which is just the BABE of mascaras.

I’m also taking my Rimmel Brow Pencil in Dark Brown. I love this so much we’re getting married.

Lips:

In terms of lips, lip balm is a massive thing for me while on holiday – I have the most sensitive lips so I have to keep them really moisterised and protected. I’m taking my EOS ball with me as well as my Burts Bees lip balm stick. I love both of these products and they’re always my go to lip balms.

For lip colour, I’m taking my TopShop Rio Rio and Ooh La La shades and they’re bright and feminine and very wearable while on holiday. I’ve also packed my Revlon Colour Stay in Nude for a few lips colour choices. I’ve also got my Beautyuk Posh Pout colour stick in the colour Corally Incorrect- this is just like the Clinque Chubby Sticks, just a lot cheaper!

Overall I’m planning on keeping my holiday make-up fairly minimal, with just a little bit more effort in the evenings. But it’s good to be prepared in case it rains all week and I have to cover up my pastey little face as per normal.

I hope this has been useful and you’ve enjoyed the little sneak peek into my make up bag. If you’d like to be even nosier you can find me over on Instagram and Twitter where I’m sharing a few holiday snaps!

Ps. The bikinis and sunglasses featured are all from ASOS.

See you soon,

Ooh a few makeup items here I haven’t heard of! Although, I like what you’ve picked because they all sound like wonderful products. Hope you’re having a good holiday xx
