What’s in my everyday make up bag?

* Edit Nov 2016: I no longer endorse Maybelline as a brand I use based on their Animal Testing policies.

Happy Monday guys!
Today I thought I’d share what products are in my everyday make up bag.

I love reading these types of blog posts, especially to see the different products that appear at different times throughout the year, but also get a feel for the items that are consistently featured as favourites. I have linked all the products I use below and they’re all shopable too!

Primer: I’m a relative newbie when it comes to Primer, but I’ve recently been using the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer and have really enjoyed the results. I pop this on after my moisturizer but before my foundation.

Foundation: My go to foundation is Rimmel’s True Match Perfection. Normally I use the colour Ivory, but at the moment I have a little bit of colour left from my holiday in January, so I’m currently blending Ivory and Beige together to get my perfect tone. I’ve only been using a liquid foundation for the last year, before that I used Dream Matte Mousse and loved it. But since trying this liquid magic, there’s no going back. It applies so nicely and it’s really easy to build up the coverage to a level that suits you. It’s quite light to apply, so is flexible in terms of how heavy you want your foundation. I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply it.

Concealer: Again, Rimmel is my go to for concealer. I use the Wake Me Up concealer, in the colour Ivory. I also use this as a highlight most days under my eyes and down the bridge of my nose. Generally I just use the same Real Techniques Buffing Brush to buff this in, but sometimes I’ll go for the Real Techniques Concealer Brush if I’ve got a spot I want to cover.

Bronzer: My favourite bronzer hasn’t changed since I did my Holiday Make Up Bag post back in January. The Bahama Mama Bronzer from theBalm is just my favourite. I love it. It’s a gorgeous natural bronze colour and it’s totally matte, so no surprise sparkly cheeks when you don’t want them. I apply this to my cheek bones, the top of my forehead and my jaw line for that sun kissed look and a bit of contour.

Blush: My go to blush is also from theBalm, the Hot Mama Blush palette. It’s a gorgeous rose gold colour and is quite heavily highlighted so it gives a really pretty shimmer on your cheekbones. I use the Real Techniques Contour Brush to apply it – it’s quite a small tapered brush so good for applying colour to the apples of my cheeks.

Eyebrows: I use the Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in the colour dark brown. I prefer pencils to liquid or powder eyebrow products as i just find the waxy texture easier to work with. I also love that this pencil has a brush on the end to help shape the brow after filling it in.

Eyeshadow: At the moment I’m loving using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel in the colour Taupe. It’s super blendable and buildable and gives me the flexibility to increase the shade as I go. It also has really good durability, although I wouldn’t say it was 24 hour like it claims. I’m also using the Rose Gold shade of this product, which is a very subtle pink colour.

Eyeliner: I use the Soap & Glory Supercat Liner Pen to apply my cat eye flicks. After 4/5 years of wearing flicks everyday, I feel like I’ve just about mastered the cat eye, but even now I’ll have bad days when they just won’t go right! I’ve fully reviewed this eyeliner here.

Eyelash Curlers: My eyelash curlers are just from H&M. They were super cheap and do everything I want from a pair of curlers.

Eyelashes: My favourite mascara of ALLLLL time is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in  Black. I am OBSESSED with this mascara. Every time I think I’ll try a new mascara I basically regret it and wish I’d just re-purchased this one. It’s a dream. I love the plastic applicator and my lashes look fuller, longer and blacker when using this. I love it. I can’t say anything else. Just go and try it.

Lips: I’m not a massive lipstick person, especially at work. I normally stick with lip balm, and my favourite at the moment is Burts Bees Replenishing Pomegranate. However if I do go for lip colour, my everyday shade is the Blush Pink Matte Lipstick by Soap and Glory.

Make Up Bag: My make up bag is from Space 1A Design I’m a sucker for all things flamingo based and this is so perfect for storing my everyday make up!

And that’s it really! Just my everyday face.

What is your FAVOURITE everyday make up bag product you couldn’t live without?
