Let’s talk Cruelty-Free

As you guys are aware, the last 6 months has seen a lot of change in terms of the diet I follow and the ‘lifestyle’ element of my blog. My blog has always been a forum where I share with you my experiences and share products I endorse and have my tried and tested seal of approval. And now more than ever that is true. I only want to share products that I 100% use, love and would happily promote, because at the end of the day, that’s what you expect from me as a blogger. Therefore going forward I am making a conscious effort to only share with you products that also fit my own personal principles, that are ethical, cruelty-free and vegan.

For example did you know many of the pigmented eyeshadows we use at the moment have carmine in, which is a pigment made from crushed up beetles, in order to achieve their colour?

Or for example well respected and prestigious brands such as MAC or Benefit still test on animals in this day and age?

I mean come on! Like navigating your way through this cosmetics world wasn’t hard enough in the first place, when you’re face with issues like these, it can make it a whole lot harder. But leave that to me. I will be sharing the best of the best, you’ll find brands you already know and love, and be introduced to brand new ones too, all of which have the most upstanding and ethical principles.

I think cruelty-free products are pretty high up most people’s lists, but it can often be hard to work out which brands or products to avoid – if you ever have any questions about a certain brand, let me know and I will post a response for you. I want to share the things I’ve learnt with you and educate each other as we go!

Likewise, if you hear of a cool cruelty-free or vegan brand you think I’ll love, please let me know and I will try and review them for you!

Anyway, I just wanted to make it clear from this point onwards that that is what you can expect from my blog, and by making this commitment I hope you will help me with this venture!

Stay cool my faves,

I’ve been on a vegan diet since January am replacing my make up/cosmetics with cruelty free ones as they run out. At the moment I’m sticking with Barry M but apparently some of their stuff isn’t vegan, but it’s all cruelty free, is that right? It’s so much more confusing than food haha xx
