Happy New Year Everyone!

Doesn’t everyone love a good list? I know I do. Today I wanted to share a few of my New Years Resolutions for my blog, mostly to keep me on the straight and narrow over the next year and to provide some focus for my online content.

I launched this blog in April 2015 after taking a break from blogging (for those of you who used to read my old blog, you’re in the know, you have the inside snoop). I wanted to re-brand and re-focus my online presence. I have learnt a huge amount in the last 8 months and I’m enjoying blogging more than I ever have before.

A couple of the goals I have achieved in the last year include:

  1. Setting up a new blog
  2. Blogging about makeup & beauty products
  3. Launching a YouTube channel and starting to make videos

The last year has been a whirlwind of emotion and I’m really proud of myself that throughout all of that I’ve felt inspired and motivated enough to launch my new blog and grow my audience. I couldn’t have done it without you guys, so thank you SO much for supporting me, reading my blog, following along and sending me just the loveliest comments. I love you and there wouldn’t be a blog without you!

*Group hugs*

There’s a whole lot more I want to do in the next 12 months, and these are the Top 5 things I hope to achieve:

  1. Provide equal weighting to my blog content covering fashion, makeup, beauty, interiors and lifestyle
  2. Film a Look Book video
  3. Film a collaboration with another Blogger
  4. Attend a blogging event to meet likeminded bloggers
  5. Host a Giveaway

These are 5 relatively small goals, but I know I have more chance of completing them if I write them down and share them with the people that matter – you guys!

Feel free to hassle me for each and every one until I get done all ticked off!

I hope you all have happy, successful and inspiring years. If I’ve learnt anything this year it’s that you can change anything you want to.

I was feeling inspired my the pumpkin spiced lattes I’ve seen everywhere recently and I thought I would have a go at spicing up my morning coffee with some rich autumnal flavours. It was a bit experimental at first, but the result was just epic and I love it so much this is now my go to all throughout winter so I wanted to share it with you guys.

  • 1 Medium sized cafeteria with around 2-3 scoops of coffee depending on the strength you like
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Sprinkle of allspice and a sprinkle of ground cloves
  • 2-1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups oat milk (heated)
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract or organic vanilla powder
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup
  • Hand held mini whisk (optional)

  1. Add the spices to the ground coffee and pop into the cafeteria and brew as usual
  2. Heat your oat milk and whisk with your mini hand whisk to get a nice frothy top
  3. Pour the maple syrup, agave and vanilla extract into your cup before adding half a cup of coffee
  4. Then top up with your heated oat milk and froth
  5. Sprinkle with a bit of raw cacao powder or cinnamon

It’s quick, simple and delicious! Let me know if you try it out 🙂

We alllllllll know I’m a massive Lush fan and today I want to talk about potentially one of my favourite Lush products and one that I think doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

The Let the Good Times Roll Cleanser.

I purchased this product about 4 months ago now and I can safely say, I am a convert. I bought it as I wasn’t really getting along with the Aqua Marina face cleanser (namely the smell) and so I purchased it on a bit of a whim and I’m SO glad I did.

Firstly, it smells heavenly. Like sweet popcorn. But not sickly sweet.

Secondly, it is made with polenta so it has really tiny grains in so acts as a lovely light exfoliator.

Thirdly, when you wash it off your face just feels so silky soft it’s unreal.

I can’t get enough of this product. I’ve been using it 3-4 times a week and as I’m getting closer and closer to the bottom of the pot, I know this is going to be a definite re-purchase for me.

Like most Lush cleansers, you take a a small amount in the palm of your hand, add a little water or put it straight into a wet hand and gradually mix it into a paste. The paste is just so smooth an beautiful to apply, and the small grains really feel like they clean the skin.

I’m not too sure about the actual bits of popcorn in it, I’ve tended to just pick those out, but I guess it adds to the theme.

The only slightly confusing element of the product is that I would say it’s nothing like a cleanser, and everything like an exfoliator. It’s too gritty for everyday make up removal, or at least for my skin it is. But it’s perfect for using a few times a week to brighten your complexion.

It’s all natural and cruelty free as well, so  I would definitely recommend giving it a go.

Let me know if you try it!

What are your favourite Lush products?

So guys, a Lush Haul was well overdue. It’s been about 3 months since I ventured into my local Lush and BOY was my skin unhappy about it.

I picked up a few different products I haven’t tried before, including one that I have been waiting to try in forever: Million Dollar Moisturiser.

Now I’m pretty late to the party on this one, but what with buying an Apartment, my bank balance wasn’t loving Million Dollar quite as much as the rest of Blog World, but I thought the time was right to invest in this wonder product so I can see if it really lives up to the hype.

I’m excited to try it!

For those of you who haven’t heard about or used Million Dollar Moisturiser before, it gets great reviews on Beauty Blogs for being a really smooth, non-oily easy moisteriser that hydrates your skin and is brilliant for using underneath make-up. I haven’t heard any bad reviews about it so far, so that’s a good enough reason in my book to give it a go!

I’m pretty picky when it comes to moisturiser. I have quite normal skin I think, but I like moisturisers that I can’t feel or I’m not aware of throughout the day. I don’t like them to make your make up feel heavy or oily as the day goes on. And for that reason I probably try out new moisturisers less than I should.

I used to swear by Clinque’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion and I used it constantly, day and night for about 3 years, but I’m fairly sure they changed the formula slightly about 1 year or so ago because it started to feel really different on my skin and not as luxurious – plus unfortunately Clinque aren’t a cruelty free company, so I won’t be repurchasing.

So all in all, it was time for something new. I’m more and more aware of how important it is to look after my skin and protect it as much as possible. Million Dollar is SPF 30 which is brilliant protection for your face throughout the day.

I’ll report back and let you know how I’m getting on and whether or not this really is the holy grail of moisturisers.

Have any of you used Million Dollar Moisturiser before? What did you think?
